Podmore and Walker Sugar Container

Nice antique light hue mulberry transfer covered sugar jar
by Podmore & Walker England around 1850’s.

The entire piece is in quite nice shape for it’s age.
Top has an almost beige finial to it.
Not sure why as I have never seen one that was not all white and transfer.
Standard crazed glaze.
Light color on transfer as shown. Not deep black / purple

Small flea bites around lid and base as all of them have.
As Found.

Has some minimal glaze loss to the handles and the rim of where the top would sit.
There is also small crack on the side on bottom and some slight staining.

Dimensions: 5.5 inches Diameter at base by 6.25 inches Wide at handles by 8 inches Tall.
Depth: 4.25 inches.
Construction: Pottery / Ceramic.
Age: Circa 1830
